Ballroom Dancing
Our Ballroom programme teaches traditional dances including Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot and Quickstep. Latin Dancing

Private Tuition

Principal & Examiner
With dance experience since 1972 and teaching since 1986, Vicki holds Fellow and Examiner status with IDTA. She has been a British Dance Council Adjudicator since 2014 and established this school in 2000.

Adult classes start at £7.50, children's classes from £4.50, with private lessons from £18.00 per session.

Yes, we provide competition preparation with advanced classes and medalist programmes for serious dancers.
Are there facilities for practice outside classes?
Free practice sessions are available for enrolled students during designated times at The New Empress Ballroom.

Rhythm and Dreams is a lovely dance studio with a spacious floor, comfortable lounge and dressing room, decent sized car park and glitterball! It is tastefully decorated, always clean and tidy, with a wide variety of snacks and drinks for sale. They have classes for all ages and abilities and cover a wide variety of dance styles. I have been dancing at the studio for 15 years and have had the opportunity to take regular medal tests. I attend a private lesson every week with Vicki and would highly recommend the studio.

Highly recommend Rhythm and Dreams dancing centre when my daughter first joined she was extremely shy and scared to dance in front of everyone all the teachers are amazing they all helped her get over her fear she is like another child now. She now attends the Star dance class on a Saturday as well as private lessons. My daughter says it is now a home from home as it is one big family. Thank you Vicki , Toni and everyone else who has helped her get over her fear and become the dancer she is today.

Whether youre a beginner or an experienced dancer, whatever youre age there will be a warm welcome awaiting you at Rhythm and Dreams dance school. With classes and choreography suitable for beginners through to advanced level, social dances, practice evenings, medal tests and competition preparation are all catered for by the principal and her teaching staff. This privately run facility has everything; soft drinks and refreshments, great instructors and a superb dance floor.
