Denton Primary is a small rural primary school in an attractive Northamptonshire village with around 120 pupils aged between 3 and 11. We are only 6 miles from Northampton but are able to take full advantage of our lovely country environment to enrich our outstanding curriculum. We challenge our children to achieve their full potential as well as providing a caring and nurturing family atmosphere.

It is very important to us that children are happy, emotionally secure and enjoy coming to school. We teach a broad and balanced, progressive curriculum through which each child has the opportunity to fully develop their individual talents. Within our Early Years class, we offer Nursery provision places to children from the term after their third birthday.
Services
Denton is a co-educational community primary school for children aged 3+ to 11 years. Denton School is housed in purpose built premises that offer the child an attractive and welcoming environment. The children are actively encouraged to care for and participate in the development of their immediate environment.
We believe that the education of your child is enhanced when the school, the parent and the child work together in partnership. We provide regular opportunities for you to learn how your child is performing at school. We also hold Curriculum Workshops so that you can develop an understanding of the ways in which teaching and learning takes place in various curriculum areas.
We are pleased to offer a Breakfast Club which provides before school care. The Breakfast Club sessions runs from 8.00am until 8.45am. At the Ofsted inspection it was noted that 'The School Breakfast Club gives pupils a sound start to the day. Pupils develop good habits of hygiene and make healthy eating choices; the games and activities that they undertake add to the enjoyment of the facility.
Child Tax Credit, with no element of Working Tax Credit, and a household income below 16,190 (as assessed by HM Revenue and Customs). You may still be eligible if you are in receipt of Working Tax Credit which is going to end due to having recently reduced your hours or having become unemployed (also known as a '4 week run-on').
Children should not be on the school premises more than fifteen minutes before the start of the school day unless they are attending Breakfast Club. There is a twenty minute morning break. In the Foundation and Key Stage 1 classes children are provided with a piece of fruit each day as a snack. This is part of the National Fruit Scheme to encourage healthy eating.
