We are a family run business, having been established as a Mobile Crane Hire Operator since 1977. We have a modern well maintained mobile crane fleet of mobile cranes with capacities from 7 to 220 tonnes, which are available for hire either under CPA Crane Hire terms and conditions or as a fully managed CPA Contract Lift.
We are also able to offer HGV transport with vehicles including Lorry loaders, Rigid and Articulated Lorries up to STGO CAT3, including semi-low, flat, extendable and Euroliner trailers. We are also able to offer on-site Machinery Moving, and our own dedicated covered and external Storage areas to meet all of your lifting, moving and storage requirements.

Steve Foster started as a self employed Steel Erector in 1977, when he bought his first mobile crane, he was able to use this machine, a 7 tonne Hydracon, for the erection of small Industrial and Agricultural buildings, as word spread, he started to offer the crane and operator for hire, and so Steve Foster Crane Hire was born.

As part of our services, we are able to offer Mobile Crane Hire, under CPA Hire terms and conditions and under this arrangement you must have the necessary personnel, experience and ability to plan and supervise the lifting operation in accordance with the 'Lifting Operations & Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998' (LOLER98).
