Meet the Team

Willie is the Managing Director and lead trainer with MaxSafe. He has managed to cram in a lot of experience in his short life (says he is 26) Willie has been involved in the delivery of training since 1998 when employed in the Fire Service, he then went on to the local college as a lecturer before founding MaxSafe.
Competent Person
Report
Most companies that look to employ contractors ensure, as part of their own safety process, that the contractor is safety compliant with all the necessary documents and insurances in place. As part of the competent person service you will be given your own point of contact. Industry accreditors also require you to have a competent person that you need to be able to contact for Health, Safety and Environmental advice.

Not only is the production of a Health & Safety policy a legal requirement under the Health and Safety at Work Act should you have 5 or more employees, it is also a great way to show your commitment to the health, safety and wellbeing of everyone that you come in contact with during you and your staff's work activity.

Looking at what you actually do day to day is something that we sometimes become complacent with. Complacency can lead to bad practice, bad practice can lead to accidents and ill health in the workplace. MaxSafe can send out a safety practitioner to look at what your staff, and contractors, are doing as part of their work.

Risk assessment is something that we get asked to provide on a regular basis. You may not realise it but you have the perfect source of information on identifying hazards in your workplace. Your staff and you. We can provide clients with generic risk assessments for basic hazards in the workplace but you have the knowledge to identify specifics.
