Marshall Shoes, an Independent Family Footwear Retailer was founded in Bridlington, as Marshall's Boot store in 1895 by uncle Fred Marshall. In 1945 after serving in World War 2, Fred's nephew Herbert Marshall joined him in the business when wartime rationing was still in force and you needed coupons to purchase new shoes.
