Localeyes Optometrists is an Independent Opticians run by Colette Dunsmore. We operate from Stonehouse, Larkhall offering eye tests, fitting contact lenses and treating red and sore eyes. Colette qualified in Optometry in 1992 and in 2010 passed her Diploma in Therapeutics. She was one of the first 50 optometrists qualified in Therapeutics in the UK.

Even if you do not feel you need glasses or you feel that your glasses are giving you good vision you should have your eyes tested every 2 years. Your eye test is a regular health check which can detect underlying health problems as well as a check for changes to your vision. It may need to be more frequent depending on your age or medical history.
Childrens Eye Examinations

Your child's eyesight affects more than their ability to see. Hand-eye co-ordination, sports performance and self confidence can all be affected by poor vision in childhood. Children can be tested at any age. It is recommended that the latest an Optometrist sees them, is before they start school and start learning to read.

Our Optometrist, working closely with NHS Lanarkshire, can offer an appointment and assessment service for any eye condition for which you would normally wait to see your GP. Optometrists are the community eye experts. They have the professional training and the necessary equipment to diagnose most eye problems.

We stock a wide range of frames to suit any budget and also offer selected frames FREE to patients in receipt of benefits. We supply and fit a full range of contact lenses from manufacturers such as Johnson & Johnson (the Acuvue range), Cibavision and Bausch and Lomb. Do you need more than one pair of glasses to see?
