Services
Friction Welding Machines
MTI designs and manufactures advanced friction welding machines, including rotary, inertia, low force, and friction stir welders. These systems enable high-strength, solid-state joining without filler materials, ideal for aerospace, automotive, and industrial applications. Our machines combine precision engineering with scalability to meet diverse production demands.
Contract Manufacturing
Our global contract friction welding teams manage projects from prototyping to high-volume production. Using proprietary technologies, we deliver precision-welded components for critical industries, ensuring compliance with stringent quality standards. Services include feasibility testing, material evaluation, and full-cycle manufacturing support.
Bi-Metallic Joining
Specialising in joining dissimilar metals like copper-aluminum and steel-inconel, our friction welding processes reduce costs and weight while maintaining structural integrity. This technology supports lightweighting in automotive and aerospace sectors, enabling innovative part designs with optimised material properties.
Metallurgical Testing
In-house metallurgical labs conduct comprehensive testing to validate weld strength, durability, and compatibility. Using tensile testers and advanced diagnostics, we ensure weld zones meet client specifications, providing data-driven recommendations for process optimisation and quality assurance.
Weld Development
From feasibility studies to prototype validation, our experts assess material combinations and geometries to refine welding parameters. This service identifies optimal techniques, reduces production risks, and accelerates time-to-market for complex components, leveraging decades of technical expertise.

Report
After purchasing our welding machine, we were looking for a company that could train our staff on how to use the equipment. We tried contacting a few different companies and made the decision to go with MTI Welding who we discovered are one of the biggest welding machine manufacturers in the UK.
MTI Welding offer friction welding training courses at their office which several of our team attended.
We found the Machine Operator, Maintenance and Advanced Machine Controls courses very informative and our guys now feel much more confident in operating the machinery. The trainers are very knowledgeable

We used MTI Welding Technologies when we were looking for welding machine manufacturers for our construction company based in the UK. They supplied us with a manual loading friction welding machine. Their knowledge of the machinery was excellent, and they were able to direct us to just the right machine for our specific requirements. They provided our staff with full onsite training to operate the machinery and they were fully able to answer all of our technical questions. We highly recommend MTI for all of your welding machine purchases and we will definitely be using them again.
