Appointments
Report
If a patient requests an emergency appointment you may be asked by the receptionist the reason for the visit as it may be more appropriate to send you directly to the hospital emergency department. If you insist on seeing the doctor on the same day you may have to wait up to one hour to see the doctor.
Home Visits
Report
Home visits can be requested by telephone, preferably before 10.00am. Visits are done after afternoon surgery. The receptionist will ask you about your illness to help the Doctor plan the priority and urgency of the visit. The doctor may phone you before the visit to assess the need of the visit, please leave your phone number with the receptionist.
Test Results
Report
Patients are reminded that hospital reports and results of tests can take up to two weeks to reach the practice. Some results can take longer and the doctor or nurse will usually have advised you of this at the time the test was undertaken. The practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection.
Repeat Prescriptions
Report
We will process repeat prescriptions within 48 hours. To order a repeat prescription, complete the tear off slip attached to your last prescription and hand it or post it to the surgery. You may also order your prescription online by using the Systmonline app. If you have not had a medicine for some time, the doctor may require you to make an appointment before prescribing the medication.
Patient Participation Group
Report
We would like to know how we can improve our service to you. To help us with this, we have set up a patient representation group so that you can have your say. We need young people, workers, retirees, people with long term conditions and people from non-British ethnic groups. We will ask the members of this representative group some questions from time to time.
