Point Of Ayr Holiday Park
Flanked by mountains and coastline, our holiday park offers you the chance to relax in your second home and explore the delights of North Wales, all in your own time. The park was established more than 60 years ago by our grandparents and we are proud to say that we are still a family-run holiday park.

We are a traditional static caravan park not far from the A55 in the village of Talacre. We firmly believe in the traditional British family holiday and staying with us is a calm and peaceful retreat, a home from home and a place that makes happy memories. The holiday home ownership entitles you, your family and friends to full use of our facilities.

Point of Ayr Holiday Park was created more than 60 years ago by our grandparents and we are proud to say the family run the park to this day. We are a traditional seaside holiday park open 10 months of the year and we are based in the heart of North East Wales, not far from the beach or the A55, the main road that runs straight through North Wales.

Our nearest town is Prestatyn and a bit further down the coast road you will get to sunny Rhyl. Our biggest and closest city is Chester which is about 40 minutes away by car. We are not a residential park, we are strictly a holiday destination, and always close for 8 weeks every winter. Gosh no, we are in a microclimate here in Talacre so the weather is usually good in the summer months.
The Area
Report
We are lucky enough to be within the boundaries of the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). It covers 390 square kilometres of windswept hill-tops, heather moorland, limestone crags and wooded valleys. This area is a walker's paradise and an astronomer's dream. The night skies show crystal clear star constellations and it is known as the best place in the country for stargazing (and UFO spotting).
