We are Sue and Shaun Blackmore and we have owned and run Towsers Kennels since 2001. We operate the kennels as a home from home for your dog and as such we do not employ any staff, preferring to offer ourselves as loving and caring owners and breeders with a wealth of knowledge to be able to treat your beloved pet as a complete individual, not just one of a number.
We get to know every dog in our care and, over the years, have watched boisterous, bouncy happy puppies turn into well rounded, confident adults and then through to the gorgeous oldies they all eventually become. Your dog is given as much love and attention as is possible to give and you can rest assured that he will be in kind and caring hands whilst you are away enjoying your holiday.

Here at Towsers we have everything you and your dog could wish for in a perfect holiday home for your treasured family member. From the minute they walk in the door to the moment they step back out to greet you after their holiday they will have had the best of fun and will go home contented, possibly tired after meeting and greeting new friends, with endless playtime, clean, freshly laundered bedding and a clean, well groomed dog.

A current vaccination certificate, together with microchip details to be shown on arrival. As you are aware we at Towsers insist that all dogs have a current kennel cough vaccination which is done with an intra-nasal vaccine that many dogs hate and can be very difficult to administer.
There is just now on the market a new vaccine which covers kennel cough Bordatella bronchiseptica bacteria that is administered by mouth, i.e. few drops in the corner of the mouth.This will make a big difference for many dogs who hate having the current vaccine squirted up their nose. 2. All bookings for new customers must be made over the phone, only returning guests can make their booking using the contact form, or by emailing us direct.

We stumbled across this gorgeous endangered breed of Setter way back in the 1990s and were immediately smitten by them. At the time we owned English Springer Spaniels but as we had just lost our wonderful old boy Winston we felt that any other ESS would simply not measure up, whilst we still wanted a busy, gundog breed we didn't want to have any type of Spaniel.

Over the years we have owned some beautiful Irish Red and White Setters, and the following photos are some of the treasured ones who have gone before. Finn's wonderful happy-go-lucky attitude to life made us fall totally in love with the breed. Followed six months later by a very naughty young lady, who kept us on our toes and made us realise just how much fun these lovely dogs can be - Corranroo Caviar at Courtdown 'Grace'.
