Poultons is more than just a shed company, for us it is a way of life, and we thrive on the challenges set for us by our customers, be it a Gothic style Chicken House or a two storey cricket pavilion. Poulton Portables originated in Danbury, Essex but in 2000 a sister company was founded in Shaftesbury, Dorset, by the Sadd Family, who had a long history within the timber business.
The following year a young twenty year old Dan Winter joined the team and quickly set about learning all aspects of timber buildings from the bottom up. In 2006, Jim Hinde was brought in to help develop the sales and marketing side of the business, but he was also keen to better understand the process of designing and selling timber buildings.

Beach huts and timber buildings situated on the coast, by the sea need to be built to withstand the best and worst of the British weather. We have considerable experience in producing buildings for coastal locations, including bespoke designs to. All of our timber buildings, including the doors and windows, are manufactured in our own workshops in Shaftesbury, Dorset. As such we can provide a great degree of flexibility when designing and manufacturing your timber building. Our custom made CAD drawing package enables us to quickly and easily develop your ideas and show you the multitude of styles and designs that we can offer.

Your garden shed, summer house or outdoor timber building will likely be a major feature of your outdoor space, especially during the warmer months.
