Offley Memorials

The business that has become Offley Memorials Ltd began in 1978 when Nicholas Prutton began learning his trade as a memorial mason. After gaining much experience and furthering his knowledge, he set out forming his own business in 1989 from outbuildings in his garden in the picturesque village of Offley, Hertfordshire.

Although our website showcases a portfolio of the most popular memorials, the choice of material and design is almost endless and it would be impractical to feature all possible combinations. So if you have something in mind that isn't shown here or that you have seen elsewhere, please let us know.

We are all pet owners at Offley Memorials and our animals have all in their own way, stolen our hearts and have very much become a part of our family. We understand that it is never easy to experience the loss of a beloved companion. In fact, it can be devastating. Granite is the most durable stone we use and is most suited to the British weather. It comes in many colours including black, red, blue, light and dark grey and other more unusual multicolours. Polishing brings out the true beauty and deep colour of the stone and is commonly used in cemeteries. When used in most churchyards, it is usually stipulated that granite must have an eggshell or honed, non-reective nish.
