The staff here were excellent in a very difficult situation. We had to have our family dog put down and the staff here made the experience as comfortable as it could be. Thank you for your kindness in our time of need. Fantastic rabbit care, I've had some bad experiences over the years with vets but this place gives me every confidence. Took my Collie in as an emergency due to suspected poisoning, even though I wasn't registered. Lovely staff dealth with it quickly and compassionately with a great outcome.

About Us
Report
Heath Vets was established in 1926 and our mission has always been to provide the best possible care for your pet. We are not a production-line practice. We invest considerable time and effort in the development of our staff, so that you have the best experience, from the moment you walk into reception, to the interaction and advice you receive from our expert veterinary surgeons.
Rhiwbina Surgery
Report
We are able to carry out both routine surgeries and more advanced soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries. We have separate areas for hospitalising cats and dogs, and our dog kennels have a outdoor run to allow hospitalised patients to stretch their legs. Our in-house laboratory is based here so we can run tests the same day for quick results.
Cyncoed Surgery
Report
There is customer parking available for 1 - 2 cars on the pavement to the front of the surgery, which has just recently undergone a refurbishment. You will find our receptionists Chris Paull and Chris Cook working from here along with one or two of our other receptionists. We have a lovely large waiting area with separate cat and dog areas and also a small pet shop.
Danescourt Surgery
Report
The surgery is located just behind the Coop garage on llantrisant Road (the postcode doesn't always work in navigation tools) and there is ample parking outside. We have separate dog and cat waiting areas as well as a small shop, and we offer consultations only from this surgery. Margaret, our receptionist, has been working here daily since it opened and views it as her kingdom!
Routine Care
Report
Implantation is quick and painless, there is no scarring or disfigurement, and it cannot be removed or tampered with. We wholeheartedly recommend microchip identification for all dogs, cats and rabbits, and any other valuable animal. Microchipping is now compulsory for all UK dogs over 8 weeks old, and it is quite likely that it will be made compulsory for cats too.
