Explore our soft play castle, with rope bridges, climbing walls, lookouts and a slide to whizz back down to the drawbridge. Our centre has been enabled by the generous donations from The Lottery, SLDC, Frieda Scott Trust, Kendal Lions, Cumbria Community Foundation, Kendal Integrated Care and more. Outside In has been setup as a registered charity we would welcome further contributions.

Outside In is a charity that began life as a community group made up of parents and local people wanting the best for children and families here in Kendal. We welcome families to our centre to play and have fun, relax, learn, share, socialise and get active. A safe and warm place where everyone is welcome at any time of the day (though we do let our staff go home at 6pm!).

I didn't, perhaps, realise just quite how much work would be involved in settling up the centre but we have made it after 3 years of very hard work! My children are 3 and 5, I am a veterinary surgeon and will be seen teaching children about animal anatomy and husbandry and bandaging in the role play vets from time to time.

Andrew, our centre manager, has worked in catering for the past 20 years and has recently had the experience of running his own pre-school children's activity classes. Hiya, I'm Claire, I have always lived in Kendal and have worked in many local childcare settings. I spent most of my time with younger children and babies and I adore providing opportunities for them to discover their own way in the world.

This fantastic version fo Kendal Castle made by Tigerplay packs a lot into the area. Swoop down on the spiral slide, climb up the climbing wall, balance across bridges and ropes, boing high on the trampette, climb up inside our giant tree and across onto Ye Olde Kendal rooftop walkway where you can learn a bit about Kendal's history.
Parties

We offer children's themed parties. We offer two packages for parties, each lasting 1.5 hours. The basic package includes entry to the play area, a reserved party table with unlimited soft drinks and water, and a buffet meal with sandwiches, crudites and dips, fruit, crisps/snacks, sausage rolls and cakes and ice cream.
