Forest School Approach
Our Forest School approach immerses children in nature-based learning, fostering resilience, creativity, and problem-solving through activities like campfire cooking, bug hunting, and gardening. Children develop physical coordination and environmental awareness while engaging in unstructured play. This method aligns with our belief that hands-on experiences in natural settings enhance cognitive and social development.
SEN Support
We provide tailored support for children with special educational needs, led by a dedicated SENCO and external specialists. Individualised programmes, including 1:1 support and adapted activities, ensure inclusivity. Our staff collaborate with parents and agencies to monitor progress, while funding allocations enable specialist equipment or training to meet each childs unique requirements.
Outdoor Play
Daily outdoor play encourages physical development, social interaction, and emotional wellbeing. Children access mud kitchens, sand areas, and all-weather learning spaces to build confidence through risk-taking and teamwork. This approach strengthens motor skills and self-regulation while promoting a lifelong connection to nature and healthy lifestyles.
Messy Play
Messy play sessions enhance fine and gross motor skills through tactile experiences like water play, gloop mark-making, and puddle jumping. These activities stimulate sensory development, hand-eye coordination, and imaginative thinking. Children explore textures, volumes, and cause-and-effect relationships in a safe, engaging environment.
Transition Support
We facilitate smooth transitions to primary school through collaborative planning with local institutions. For children with SEND, extended visits and staff training ensure continuity. Parents receive regular updates via Famly, and half-termly meetings track progress, ensuring children feel confident and prepared for their next educational stage.

I cannot recommend Adel pre-school enough! It really has been a home from home experience for my youngest and he has had the most amazing time there! Like many children, Liam has been upset at drop off from time to time but staff have always been so lovely when I've left him and I have felt comforted Liam settled quickly. But most of all, had a… great day there learning and playing with his friends! Mrs Neep, Liam's key person has been absolutely outstanding and Liam and I will really miss her, she has really helped with Liam's development; he has come on leaps and bounds since he first

Where do I start ... the ladies at this preschool are just brilliant! They really do care about the children. My little girl has now finished her preschool life ready for primary next year and even though this year hasn’t ended how we wanted they have made sure the kids are involved still by sending postcards, letters and even a medal to celebrate… their time at adel preschool. Phillipa has today made me feel so at ease for my son to start in September, he is a summer baby and I was worried he would be too young but after talking things through I am so so excited for him to start!
