We are a 15 minute walk from Shawlands and a short drive from the M77 and M8 motorways. Pollok Country Park is a short walk from the nursery and children enjoy weekly outings there. At Hickory Dickory House we offer a safe, friendly environment where children experience a variety of activities using curriculum framework Pre-Birth to Three and Curriculum for Excellence.
Outside children have the opportunity to play and explore in all weathers in our large fully enclosed garden. We provide quality childcare for babies and young children between 6 weeks and 5 years old. Our opening hours are 8am-6pm Monday-Friday and we offer full and part-time placements as well as term-time and where possible shift patterns can be accommodated.

Hickory Dickory House is all on one level. The nursery has 3 large well-equipped playrooms, as well as an outdoor garden for the kids to enjoy. This playroom accommodates 12 babies up to the age of 18 months/2 years. For our younger babies we endeavour to maintain their home routine to ease the transition to nursery whilst slowly introducing the nursery daily routine.

All fees are inclusive of breakfast, Mid-Morning and afternoon snacks and two course lunch. To secure a place for your child at nursery we require a deposit amount of 100.00. This amount will be refunded to you or deducted from your final bill when you move on from Hickory Dickory House. Please note we must receive a minimum of four weeks notice before leaving nursery in order to be refunded the deposit amount.

Hickory Dickory House is situated within half a mile from the main Shawlands shopping area. Train and bus routes into the city centre are a few minutes walk away.
