
Our team is led by Clinical Director and Consultant Orthodontist, Dr Lisa Currie, who has recently received an honorary appointment as Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University or Aberdeen (School of Medicine, Medical Sciences and Nutrition), teaching at Aberdeen Dental School. The Orthodontic Clinic is a friendly, state-of-the-art specialist orthodontic practice that has been established since 2006.

The Orthodontic Clinic offer a wide range of personalised treatments that are tailored to your specific needs and requirements. Consequently, treatment fees are individually assessed and are dependent on the duration and complexity of each case. Your initial consultation lasts approximately 30 minutes and is complimentary.
The Orthodontists

All the orthodontists in The Orthodontic Clinic are specialists, having completed postgraduate specialist training in Orthodontics involving a Master of Science degree in Orthodontics, on top of a 5 year Dentistry degree. In the UK, the completion of specialist training is marked by the Membership in Orthodontic examination, accredited by the Royal Colleges of Surgeons.
Orthodontic Therapists

The Orthodontic Clinic has been proud to adopt the integration of Orthodontic Therapists within the practice since 2010. Orthodontic Therapists are registered with the General Dental Council and work alongside a specialist orthodontist under prescription. They are able to carry out procedures such as general oral hygiene checks, changing of arch wires, bonding and debonding (removal) of fixed braces.

Private Orthodontic treatment is available to all patients of all ages and provides patients with the opportunity to receive treatment which is tailor-made to suit their individual needs and requirements. The Orthodontic Clinic is committed to keeping up to date with the latest treatment techniques and thus we are able to offer them to patients as soon as they are available to the profession.
