Hitchin & Stevenage Tae Kwon-do Schools

The Hitchin Taekwon-Do Club was established in 1987 which makes it the longest and oldest ITF Taekwon-Do club in Hitchin and possibly Hertfordshire. I took the club over with just 6 students in 1990. We now have clubs in Hitchin, Stevenage and Barton-Le-Clay which form HSTS Taekwon-Do with over 400 students and over 34 different classes running throughout the week.

I have been attending Hitchin and Stevenage Taekwon-do School for the past 3 years with my wife and children. We signed up to do something as a family, to instil some noble characteristics into our children (then aged 6 and 8), and maybe, in my case, lose some middle aged spread.

What transpired has been far beyond any of our expectations, yes our children have built up their values of discipline, respect and determination - as have my wife and I.The mental skills we have developed, especially self-confidence, have helped us in many everyday situations that we may have found difficult in the past.

HSTS Taekwon-Do is committed to providing a safe, supportive learning/caring environment for all of our students. This fun-filled introduction to Taekwon-Do lays a solid foundation, improves fitness levels and social skills while building character for children aged between 4 and 8 years old. The Little Dragons programme teaches children to be good citizens and prepares them for life, or at least school. We provide lessons in safety and offer life skills, as well as physical martial arts skills.
