Bespoke Memorials by Expert Stone Masons
Established as a family-run business, Cleverley and Spencer have dedicated themselves to the craft of monumental stonemasonry. Our team, led by Ivor Spencer, combines decades of experience with rigorous training from institutions like Canterbury Cathedral and City & Guilds of London Art School. We specialise in creating bespoke memorials, ensuring each piece reflects the individuality of the person being commemorated. Our commitment to traditional techniques, such as hand-carved inscriptions, is matched by our ability to adapt to modern requirements like machine-carved lettering. With NVQ-qualified stonemasons and CITB-certified assessors, we adhere to the highest industry standards while offering free, sympathetic advice to families. Our services extend across Kent and the Southeast, with showrooms in Dover and Ashford providing accessible consultation spaces. We prioritise personal service, offering home visits and flexible appointments to discuss memorial designs in familiar surroundings. Every memorial we create is a testament to our dedication to quality, combining artistry with technical expertise. Our team includes NAMM and BRAMM-qualified fixer masons, ensuring compliance with evolving health and safety regulations.
