We are a small family run kennels in South Derbyshire, which has been driven by our passion for 'mans best friend.' We aim to provide as much of a home from home experience for your dog as possible. So who are we? Well we truly are a family team, owned and run by Husband and Wife team, Matt and Katie alongside their business partner Jackie, who doubles as a Mother in Law/Mother.

We are fortunate enough to have a team of experienced and dedicated staff who aim to make your pet feel as relaxed and comfortable as possible during their stay with us. A big kid at heart Matt loves nothing more than to be out and about playing with the dogs rain or shine. He has an addictive and apparent endless energy, which the dogs love.

A little tired and in need of much TLC, we immediately began our renovations to turn Mansditch Kennels into Buddy's. With limited funds it became a family affair, with ages ranging from 2 - 81 years of age, everyone got stuck in bringing their own skill set with them. The team has quickly made an impact, however we have only scratched the surface of what we hope to achieve with the kennels.

At Buddy's Boarding we have many options available for you and your pet in order to make your dog's stay as comfortable as possible and provide as close to a 'home from home' experience as we can. Each dog's stay is tailored to them as no two dogs are the same. If you have any specific requirements please don't hesitate to ask, we really will do our best to accommodate and if we can, we will.
Grooming

We offer half price puppy sessions in the salon to get your puppy used to the salon environment. Bring your puppy in before they are 5 months to take advantage of this deal. Buddys is very pleased to now have a fully operational, fully equiped and fully insured beautiful Grooming Salon. Groomingtails ofers a complete range of grooming services from basic bathing from muddy walks to full grooming and restyling appointments.

I visited with Lexi, our 18 month old Border Collie prior to booking her first stay, which she had recently. Matt, Katie & staff are so welcoming, caring & loving not only to your pet, but their family as well. Lexi had a wonderful stay and came home chilled & happy, plus a fabulous coat after Katie’s grooming session. I would highly recommend this five star establishment run by fabulous staff for your pet.

Wouldn’t go anywhere else! First time in boarding kennels for Zeus and I think we have found his forever home from home! I was put at ease as soon as we arrived when met by such friendly staff who you could tell genuinely loved dogs and really wanted to make your dogs stay special. Updates/Pics on his stay made such a difference it felt like we’d left him with friends and Zeus seemed to of have an amazing time! Can’t thank them enough!

Sometimes you come across an event happening in your life where you need to put your dog in safe hands and go and sort out a situation. We'll that happened to me and I had to put my dog in kennels urgently !! Buddys invited me to look at the kennels first before putting my dog in there and I was impressed! It was a hot summers day and they had fans on to keep the dogs cool they are in the middle of fields and trees and they have a field to let the dogs off. They asked for the paperwork to check everything is in order before allowing the dogs on the premises. There is a house above the kennels so

This is a fantastic place. They kept me updated throughout my dogs' stay which made me feel at ease. My dogs came home looking so well and smelling absolutely beautiful. They are totally dedicated to each and every dog and their service is A+. They will definitely be having my dogs again in the near future!

We were apprehensive leaving our 10 month german shepherd at a kennels for the first time but had absolutely nothing to worry about! Our dog loved his stay here and has been really well looked after. You can tell that Matt and the team have a passion for dogs and love their jobs which is so refreshing to see. We have definitely found a kennels for life and would not hesitate in recommending Buddys to anyone.

Absolutely fantastic service!
Partner was concerned about having to kennel our nearly 9 y/o lab when we went away for 3 weeks, but the staff were brilliant from enquiry to pick-up.
Our Marley gets anxious around other dogs, they went through everything about his stay over email, and Matt assured us he would be moved to a quieter part of the kennel if he was struggling to adjust.
Mar looked genuinely excited when we dropped him off, and our chat with Matt really put us at ease.
We'll definitely be using them again!
