With all things being equal, Ghost enables you strike an opponent with minimal return, leaving an opponent bruised and confused and often trying to play catch up.

Karate is a great way to learn a new skill, developing respect and discipline, in a friendly environment, while meeting new friends as well as dealing with bullies. Karate is ideal for learning a New Skill, Fitness, Self Defence, Meeting New Friends, Having Fun in a Family Friendly and Fully Inclusive environment.

The core training is Shotokan Karate as the foundation, the club also provides an integration through its instructors and network of guest instructors to other Martial Arts Systems and styles including Goju Ryu Karate, and the Filipino systems, creating a well rounded martial artist.

I hope as a beginner looking for the benefits of joining a Martial Art Club, or as an experienced Martial Artist visiting the site to see the latest event or information on offer you gain some benefit from this site and hopefully joining us either regularly or on one of the special events.We accept children from 6 years of age and there is no age limits for Adults Male or Female.

Mark Elliott is the Founder and Senior Instructor of the Isle of Wight Karate and Martial Arts Academy. Graded 6th Dan in Shotokan Karate with The Shotokan of England Karate Union. Mark started his martial arts and combat sports career in the early 70's firstly at Boxing and then Judo, until he found a home in Shotokan Karate.
