Dave Barnes, a well-known local dart player, decided he wanted to offer a service to local dart leagues. When D B Darts first opened, this specialist stall had one oche, one display cabinet and other services including engraving, key cutting, fishing and snooker repairs. In 2006 Dave became very ill and needed the help of his friend Terry to keep the stall going.
Our dart background comes from Jim Sweeney, my father-in-law. He was one of the founders of the BDO in 1973 and my husband grew up playing along many legends on their way to the top. Today, we are a little larger in floor size and have revamped the area to include a workshop, two full-size oches, having five times the stock on the walls, from floor to ceilings, in three display cabinets.
