Inclusive Support for Disabled Young People
At Unique Kidz and Co and Co, we are driven by a profound commitment to empowering young people with disabilities through inclusive social, recreational, and developmental opportunities. Founded in 2009 by two parents of children with disabilities, our organisation emerged from a personal need to create a space where children could thrive without judgment while providing families with essential respite. Our team comprises highly trained professionals specialising in special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), ensuring every service is delivered with expertise and compassion. Over 15 years, we have expanded from a summer holiday club to a comprehensive support network offering daytime services, sibling groups, toy libraries, and community outreach across North Lancashire. Our facilities are designed to be accessible and safe, reflecting our dedication to safeguarding and individualised care.

We collaborate with local partners to enhance accessibility, including adaptive transport solutions and sensory-friendly environments. Recognised by Ofsted as outstanding, we combine lived experience with professional excellence to address the unique needs of each family. Our initiatives, such as hydrotherapy sessions and specialised outings, demonstrate our commitment to holistic development. Transparency and community engagement remain central to our operations, evidenced by regular parent coffee mornings and donor impact reports. As we continue expanding our physical spaces and services, our mission remains unchanged: to celebrate individuality and foster environments where every young person can grow.
