Explore Local Art at Coquetdalearts
Established in 1975, Coquetdalearts operates as a registered charity in Rothbury, Northumberland. Our volunteer-run team manages the gallery seven days a week from mid-March to mid-December, providing a platform for local artists and craft makers. We relocated to the Old Court Building in 1997 following EU-funded refurbishment, offering exhibition space for over 150 artists. Our subscription model supports operational costs, with proceeds from sales funding rent payments to Northumberland County Council. The gallery showcases approximately 250 paintings alongside crafts including glassware, jewellery, and textiles, all available at accessible prices. We maintain a dedicated studio space bookable for individual exhibitions and contribute to community development through volunteering opportunities and art classes. Our facilities include disabled access arrangements and ample parking, with clear signage from Rothbury village centre.
