Our training centre moves away from the days of the steel storage container or trailer 'class room', training on pub car parks, the use of tired, battered machines ( although all training bikes are dropped at some point) and not so witty anecdotes recited by a 'bad-ass' biker.
With our team of approved instructors we intend to remove the stereotypes of motorcycling, breaking down the barriers and delivering an environment where everyone feels at ease and is able to learn and improve their riding skills whatever their age, gender or background.Here at bike-moore we aim to provide a different kind of training environment - relaxed, fun, professional and safe.

The driver and vehicle standards agency have produced this flowchart of the different ways you can get a full motorcycle licence, including the training and tests you need to take. Report
All learner motorcycle/moped riders must complete a CBT course before riding on the road. It would be very wise to still complete a CBT as you will be much safer on the road. If you want to ride up to a 125cc you must complete a CBT. A DL196 (CBT) certificate lasts for 2 years. CBT will need to be retaken if both a motorcycle theory and practical test are not passed within the 2 year certificate life.
Courses

This is for someone who has never ridden before that would like to see if motorcycling is for them. The taster session lasts 30 minutes on either a motorcycle or a moped. This is the first step to your motorcycle training. These courses run up to 7 days a week on our own training area. The day starts at 9:00am and finishes between 3 and 5 depending how everyone gets on.
Motorcycle theory test

The theory test will gauge your knowledge and understanding of riding theory. A sound knowledge of the theory is essential to a better understanding of practical riding skills. To help you learn the theory there are books, DVD/CD-Rom's available in the bike-moore office. There is also an iPhone app available to help learn the theory.
