The Affordable Funeral Company offers a Pre-Payment Funeral Plan allowing those wishing to make provision for their own funeral to do so in advance. The plan removes the financial and emotional burden left to families following the passing of a loved one by allowing you to arrange the details of the service you require and to pay for it in advance.
How To Register A Death
Report
You should register the death within 5 days of the death occurring. You can go to any register office but if you use the one in the area where the person died you'll be given the documents you'll need on the day. If you make a 'declaration' at a different register office the documents will be sent to the office in the area where the person died before they're issued to you.
When Death Occurs At Home
Report
When the individual dies at home it is advisable to contact the deceased's doctor so that they can arrange for certification of the death. If the death happens outside the normal surgery hours you may have to wait until the surgery reopens or it may be possible for another doctor to attend. Only once the doctor has attended and confirmed the death can the deceased be taken into our care.
