Exhaust emissions are an important environmental concern these days (not to mention part of the MOT) and the correct functioning of your exhaust system, has an effect on the fuel efficiency of your vehicle. From catalytic converters, Diesel Particulate Filters, Exhaust Gas Recirculation systems and Lamda sensors, we are the place to come!
Batteries

At Sun Motors we can supply an extensive range of warranted car batteries for all makes and models, including stop start system vehicles and diesels. We will always perform a battery health check and test the charging system and provide you with a report on your old batteries condition, before supplying a new battery.
Air Con
Report
There are two types of refrigerant gasses currently in use in passenger vehicles. R134a which has been in use since the late 1980's and R1234YF which started to be introduced in 2014/15 on all new vehicles. Last year, R134a retail price to us was 10.00 per kilo plus VAT, this year its 54.00 per kilo plus VAT and that's the "old style" refrigerant.

Modern vehicles are controlled by many computer modules and complex electrical systems, all communicating with the main Engine Control Unit (ECU) constantly trying to ensure your car is running at peak efficiency. Fault finding can be problematical and playing "parts darts" when trying to establish why your car is not running correctly, is not our style.
MOT's
Report
At Sun Motors we carry out MOT's on all makes of passenger vehicles/light commercial vehicles, both petrol and diesel, hybrid and electric ( 3000 Kg ) Class M1. The MOT test checks that your vehicle meets road safety and environmental standards at the time of the test. It does not guarantee the cars safety/environmental standards for 12 months, a common misconception.
