We have been making stoves on a craft basis, working purely in heavy gauge steel, since 1982. Over that time we have evolved radically different designs from the norm, that have stood the test of time as well as performance. We hope that this site gives an idea of the variety and invention that we feel we bring to a rather conservative industry sector.
We build by hand, in the heaviest gauges of steel used on the domestic stove market, taking ideas that first formed on the shop floor, that over the years have evolved into the six basic models that we now offer; each radically different from anything else on the market, but each with a proven track record of performance, reliability & longevity.

Our Stoves
Report
We can offer either the Hybrid or Sumo as standard stock items to cover most applications, space heaters or hi-output boilers (derived from the Sumo) From 5kws (a small Hybrid) up to 40kws ~ Sumo 40b, enough to do all the heating and hot water for a 5 bedroom home. We can also offer various other designs derived from the two basic stoves as 'one off's' for particular situations.
Little Devil
Report
The design emerged from playing around with a couple of cubes. Compact, but everything accessible, with the door facing up into the room for easy and safe operation. We'd reckoned that the Firebug and Hybrid models were about as simple as a stove could be, but this wee fellow shows that development never ends!
Aztec
Report
By transferring some of the detail of the Sumo (essentially the door design) back to the old Aztec, we've managed to reintroduce this model. It gives us a nice big chamber to take really big logs, and we can re-jig the shape in any direction. An ash bed big enough to take a month's continuous burning without any emptying; a radiant surface area that transmits heat fast and direct; with a drop down door that exposes an excellent view of the fire.
Hybrid
Report
This compact multi-fuel stove is rated at 5kW - sufficient for a small to average living room (also available in 8kW and 10kW). It will sit comfortably in front of a standard fire opening (16" W x 22" H) but, unlike an open fire, will not suck the room heat up the lum! As with all our stoves, the basic design can be altered to suit different circumstances for instance, the large flat top provides a good basis for developing cooking facilities.
Sumo
Report
The radiant qualities of this stove are unparalleled for the volume enclosed, which can convert to a boiler of exceptional output for central heating and hot water. The shape of the stove allows for an unusually large fire bed, which looks up into the room, and concentrates the charge into the centre of the stove for safe riddling to the ash drawer in the plinth below.
