Country Cottage Bakery was founded in the mid 70's in the heart of the historic market town of Bideford, and has been owned and run by us since 1990. Hi, I'm Graham born and bred in Northam and started work in a local bakery about the same time Country Cottage Bakery was founded. Having done my apprenticeship and later progressing to managing two local bakeries I decided to go it alone.
Well that's not strictly true because by then I was happily married to my wife Deana and we had three children all aged five (yes, you've guessed it, triplets). It was a very traditional setup with the bakery nestled behind the shop and on view to our customers. We started with seven employees, now we employ a fourty-one strong workforce (one of which was in my original seven).

All our products are baked daily by our skilled bakers. Don't forget on top of the products shown our shops all produce fresh sandwiches and pasta salads each day using the in store sandwich bars giving you the opportunity to make your lunch just the way you like it. If you are looking for a particular product just because you don't see it on our website, doesn't mean we don't do it.
Home Delivery

Our Home delivery service is available to homes, offices and factories in the Bideford Area. If you have a birthday, a celebration or just find it difficult to get out, give us a ring and get your favourite cakes and savouries delivered straight to your door free of charge the following day. We have now started to deliver to homes in Barnstaple.
Boxes

Our delicious High Tea Boxes can be enjoyed by anybody at any time. We have boxed up some of our delicious favourites to create the perfect Afternoon Tea to be delivered straight to your front door. Boxes are priced at 8 and must be pre-ordered. They are available for Delivery (delivery orders must be over 10) or available for Collection from any of our shops.
