CJ Metals have a number of skips of various sizes which can either be rented for you to fill with scrap metal, or can be left with you free of charge for you to fill with scrap metal as part of our drop-off service. These skips come in various sizes designed to handle small, medium and large loads of scrap metal.

Based on Engine Lane in Horbury just outside Wakefield, our Wakefield recycling centre is a very busy scrap yard handling large volumes of all types of scrap metal on a daily basis. Continue along the A653 taking the B6128 and Storrs Hill Road, heading towards Bridge Road (A642) and into our home village of Horbury.
How Do I Get Paid

We pay competitive rates for all types of scrap metal, based on the type of metal, its current market price and the weight of the scrap load when it arrives at our depot. In order to ensure that you get the correct price for your scrap, we weigh your vehicle with the scrap loaded upon entry to the depot.

The WEEE directive aims to encourage companies to reuse and recycle as many of their electronic materials as possible in order to minimise the negative effects of their disposal by landfill. 65% of IT equipment must be recycled, and materials such as computer monitors, LCD displays, circuit boards and flame retardant plastics should be pre-treated before disposal according to the WEEE Directive.
