The London Bus Museum is pleased to welcome you on board a bus journey that has taken 150 years. Have you ever wondered what happened to all those wonderful old buses that ran in London and which you only now see in old films and books? Well, the good news is, some of them live on!

While thousands went to the scrap yard at the end of their working lives, some have found their way into preservation as living, moving museum pieces at London Bus Museum.Here you will discover the largest collection of working historic London buses in the world, a priceless heritage representing more than 150 years of public transport evolution in the capital.

Free parking is provided and the admission fee allows entry to London Bus Museum and Brooklands Museum (The Concorde Experience and 4D theatre are extra). Children aged 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult throughout their visit and no dogs or pets are admitted to the museum site, except assistance dogs.
Bus Rides
Report
A traditional London double-deck bus usually runs at regular intervals to provide visitors with a nostalgic 30 minute ride. This is subject to volunteer crews being available and the buses used being serviceable on the day. Social distancing measures apply on board; please use only the seats marked.
School Parties

As a charitable trust with custody of a unique and valuable transport heritage, the Museum has a strong commitment to the facilitation of learning and participation.

The display hall is being fitted out to offer interpretation facilities to enable visitors to understand the history and development of buses in London by showing the vehicles and associated artefacts in a time-line trail, eventually with inter-active units (diorama AV theatre, touch-screen information displays and an electronic tour guide system).
Arriving by Car

We are just a few minutes from junction 10 of the M25 and the A3 London to Portsmouth trunk road. Leave the London-bound A3 at the Painshill junction (A 245) and follow the brown signs to "Mercedes-Benz World" and "Brooklands Museum". If you are using a SatNav, please use the post-code KT13 0SL and follow the signs to the Brooklands Museum car-park.
Arriving by public transport

The nearest railway station is Weybridge (less than a mile away), which is on the London Waterloo to Woking, and Staines to Weybridge lines. The rail journey time from London Waterloo is around 30 minutes. For the rail timetable, visit National Rail Enquiries. Aternatively, you can catch one of the local buses, 1/2 hour service, from outside the station to the Brooklands Hotel with a 7-minute walk to Brooklands Museum entrance.
