Misted Up Double Glazing

Richard Singleton provides misted up double glazing services in Derbyshire, South Yorkshire, and North Nottinghamshire area. In the trade we say that the double-glazed sealed unit has 'broken down'. This means that the perimeter edge seal has lost its integrity and that it is letting in moisture somewhere.
Window Repairs

Richard Singleton can supply and fix almost any part on most window and door systems installed over the last 30 years. Most common faults include the misting up in between the Double Glazing Panels as well as the locking mechanisms, handles and hinges. We can also fit new letterboxes, fix additional security locks including child safety locks to existing windows and new rubber seals to replace perished or shrunken existing seals.
Cat Flaps
Report
Richard Singleton will fix cat flaps into your existing PVCU Doors. The flap cannot be fitted into your existing glass as the hole cannot be cut into the Double-Glazed Unit. A new unit will have to be supplied with the correct diameter hole to match the cat flap. We can, however, fix it into your door if you have half plain white panel installed into the bottom half of your door.

The most common fault associated with PVCu Doors is the failure of the Multipoint Locking Mechanism. If the Door is difficult to lock when pushing the handle upwards it can be cured with a few minor adjustments, but if left it will put pressure on the centre gearbox of the locking mechanism causing it to break and having to be replaced.
