In addition to race and rally cars we apply the same level of meticulous detail to the servicing, repair and restoration of all makes of classic cars. We have worked on prestige cars including Rolls Royce, Bentley and Ferrari, sports cars from MG, Triumph and Lotus and saloon cars from Alfa Romeo and British Leyland.

We know every nut and bolt of a Mini and that's why many famous names trust us to restore or build a completely new classic Mini. We now offer you the opportunity to build a classic Mini to your specification with your choice of body style, engine, colour and interior. We can build a mini to meet the specification of any racing series you wish to take part in.

There are many ways and it depends upon your particular interests and your budget. We don't recommend that you jump in at the deep end entering a major series and buying a technically complicated car. A little research can save you a lot of money in the long run and we advise that you go and watch lots of different types of motorsport.

Ringo Starr's Mini made its way to our workshop after it was purchased by former Spice Girl, Geri Horner (Helliwell) who bought the 1966 Mini Cooper S Radford at Bonham's for 102,000. I have known Christian Horner for a while and shared cars in some races so we were the obvious choice for recommissioning the car.

The Acespeed R is a new build Mini built to your personal specification. Each build starts with a meeting to choose the key specifications of your car. You choose the body style, paint colour, interior trim, and engine tune to create your own bespoke vehicle. Acespeed Historic Motorsport has been building and restoring road, rally and race Mini's for over 25 years.
