Established as London's leading pre-vocational performing arts school, Glenlyn Academy has dedicated itself to nurturing young talent aged 3 to 18, alongside offering adult courses. Since our inception, we have maintained rigorous industry standards through our Council for Dance, Drama and Musical Theatre (CDMT) accreditation. Our faculty of 15 experienced professionals delivers structured training in ballet, tap, jazz, musical theatre, and contemporary dance, following nationally recognized curricula in partnership with NATD and LAMDA.Through our successful Management Agency, we actively prepare students for professional auditions while maintaining strong relationships with vocational schools and casting directors. Having produced annual productions at prestigious venues like the London Palladium, we continue developing versatile performers through our four-tier ability system and specialized workshops that balance traditional technique with contemporary commercial practices.

Musical Theatre
Our musical theatre program develops triple threat performers through integrated training in acting, singing, and dance. Students master repertoire from classic and contemporary productions while building performance confidence and stagecraft skills. The curriculum prepares individuals for both amateur and professional theatre opportunities through structured classes and production experience.
Ballet
Our ballet classes follow the National Association of Teachers of Dancing syllabus, focusing on technical precision and classical repertoire. Students progress through graded levels while developing strength, flexibility, and artistic expression. Regular performance opportunities reinforce technique in practical settings through annual showcases and external productions.
Singing
Developed in partnership with the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, our singing program teaches proper vocal technique and musical interpretation. Students explore diverse genres from musical theatre to contemporary pop while developing sight-reading and performance skills. Regular assessments track progress through standardized grading systems.
Dance
This program offers comprehensive dance training including tap, jazz, contemporary, and street styles. Classes follow nationally accredited curricula while emphasizing versatility and performance quality. Students learn choreography from industry professionals and gain stage experience through multiple annual productions in major London venues.
Acting
Our acting courses develop essential performance skills through structured training in character development, script analysis, and improvisation. Students explore classical and modern repertoire while building confidence and communication abilities. Regular showcases and professional audition preparation support both amateur and vocational aspirations through industry-recognized accreditation pathways.

A fantastic performing arts school for students of all ages and ability. Highly trained and supportive teachers who ensure students are well cared for while they are on site. My children have attended for over 8 years and their confidence and skills have grown enormously in that time.

Great Performing Arts Academy. My daughter has been attending for just over 3 years. Her classes vary from Tap to Musical Theatre. She has learnt so much and is now very confident in her classes, to her performing on stage in their shows. There's also a great variety of teachers, in which each teacher brings their own diverse essence of teaching and learning to each and every class. Definite 10/10 for this academy.

My daughter has been with Glenlyn Academy for 7 years and she has grown in confidence and ability throughout. She loves all the classes with her favourites being acro, drama and solo singing! Glenlyn gives these children a place away from everything else where they can be themselves and thrive in a supporting environment. Over the years, Glenlyn has put on many incredible shows and has given my daughter the confidence to stand on stage and sing by herself in front of an audience of 500 people! During lockdown, Glenlyn provided full online classes throughout which was invaluable in keeping the children

Oliver has been at Glenlyn for 3 years this year and has had the most incredible time. The training, support and performances are second to none. He has grown so much in confidence with his dancing and has enjoyed the wide variety of lessons. Musical Theatre is his passion, closely followed by Tap! A wonderful performing arts academy.
Exceptional on-line lessons throughout lockdown meant that children carried on doing what they love week in and week out and it gave them a purpose (and the parents a break!). Thank you Glenlyn

This is an amazing dance school with a wide variety of classes, brilliant teachers and all for a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend this dance academy, you won't be disappointed.
