We strive consistently to make your cat's stay with us comfortable and enjoyable. Built in an area of 12 acres of land, the cattery is private and peaceful, and the accommodation is exceptionally spacious.

Really happy with how our two persians were looked after - well fed and groomed and had lots of attention. Previously at another cattery the kitten had got stressed and lost weight, but everything was fine at White Cottage. We will happily use them again if we can.

This was the first time I put my cat (Ella) in a cattery, so I was anxious about leaving her but I felt reassured once I met the owner, I could tell that she clearly cared about the cats. Ella was kept safe and well.

[A warning to those about this catery] [GO TO LAST PARAGRAH IF ANYTHING]
Background infomation:
-I booked my 2 cats in over the Christmas period (7 days) and the pricing seemed resonable at this catery.
Fist Issue
However, when I arrived to collect them on the day after Boxing day, I told the owner that I would arrive on boxing day and she asked if I was coming in the morning and I said I would. I arrived at 10:45 am and waited for her to let me in becuase the gate was locked.
I then waited until around 11:30 when I had called the landline several times and I finally found her phone number

Great service, the owner treats all the animals as her own, clean and in a quiet rural location. Couldn't recommend enough. I walked away knowing my pet was in great hands.

I have only given this place 1 star as I can't give it none & write a review to warn others. I have boarded my cat here 5 times now, & I had been concerned on 2 previous occasions that he came home very frightened, & having wet himself on the morning of collection. When I collected him after the Easter weekend, I discovered what had frightened him previously. I witnessed an employee shouting & banging very loudly in the cat pens, trying to terrify & chase a cat through a catflap from the outside to the inside pen, where the owner waited. She clearly knew what was going on, & allowed it to happen

My cat always comes away from the Cattery looking really well and I know he has been well looked after. Jill has made him more relaxed with other people in our home due to her caring nature she shares with the cats in her care at the Cattery. I know I can go away knowing that he is in safe hands and that is so important.

Used White Cottage many times before. Our cats have always been returned to us in a good healthy condition - unlike some other catteries we've used. The pens are clean, well kept and in a peaceful location.
If you're supplying your own food I advise only leaving the minimum to last for the time your cats are there for. We've supplied much more than required on several occasions and always ended up with very little being returned in relation to how much our cats would have ate. Hence, the four stars. Other than that I highly recommend White Cottage.

Gill took great care of our four month old kitten, feeding her four or five times a day and grooming her. She sent me text messages on holiday to reassure me that our kitten was doing well and putting on weight. We will definitely be using White Cottage Boarding again.
