Bob from Blades visited us at our new Helsby Community Sports Club because we need advice on which mower would be most suitable for our large awkward shaped grass areas to be used by retired volunteers. Today he delivered and spent over 2 hours going though the operation and maintenance of our new Stiga out-front mower which it did a fantastic job of cutting and mulching through 2 weeks growth even in the rain
. A great machine but an even better service from Bob and Blades mowers.

Great service, friendly staff, a thorough understanding of exactly what we needed. I would highly recommend using Blades Mowers to any domestic or commercial user. As for the individual moaning about communication - it goes both ways and I'm sure if this bright spark paid a visit to the workshop, then they would fully understand why a little patience, and consideration goes a long way. It's not rocket science.

I`ve telephoned three times now, and spoken to two people who were charming, friendly and helpful... BUT nothing has come of it!! They say that they are very busy because of the current situation, but I would much rather they were honest and said that they simply have too much work to take any more! The first time I rang a nice guy took all my details and said that Bob would ring me the next day to arrange collection. He didn't ring, so a couple of days later I rang again. Bob answered and eventually found the piece of paper that his colleague had left for him with my details. We arranged a date

Been using blades for a few years now, Bob is always pleasant and honest. My first experience was with a used Stihl strimmer. Bob found the faults on the 4/2 stroke machine and fixed them it did cost as much as the 2nd hand strimmer had cost initially but overall worked out a good deal the machine served me well for 14 months til it was nicked. I bought a brand new mower off them which had an issue in starting after just a few weeks, Bob found this to be the carburettor / choke and it was fixed under warranty very quickly. I was out mowing again the next day. The same mountfield stopped rolling

Terrible Customer Service - Avoid this place. How this runs as a business is a mystery. If you call the proprietor he doesn't seem to know what he's working on, whether he should be collecting or returning. I called for a quote on my old petrol mower, it just needed a yearly service. But he couldn't give me a cost over the phone, not even an estimate. Then he didn't turn up on the day he should to collect it and when I called him he asked for the address again. Then he told me it would be a two week turn around. I called for an update after week and half only to be told "not started that one yet

Definitely recommend taking your machinery here. Have had a mower fixed here and it came back running better than ever have my hedge cutters sharpened here too and they come back nice and sharp and cut hedges like a knife through butter. Their prices won't be beaten either.
