The Chantry is a grade 2 listed Georgian town house dating from 1780. The building has many of its original features, as does the adjoining Tudor annexe, which dates from the 16th Century. We have fourteen non-smoking bedrooms. The archway at the side of the hotel leads to off-street parking, with a space for each room.

Breakfast is served between 7.30am - 9.00am on weekdays (8.00am - 9.30am weekends and bank holidays) and there is a wide choice to appeal to all tastes. Access to the off road car park is through a gated archway at the side of the main building. The car park has a space for each of the 14 bedrooms.

There were several Chantry Chapels in the grounds of the Abbey. The Chantry hotel stands on the site of a Chantry chapel, which dates back to the 12th century. The main building is essentially Georgian and is adjoined by houses over four hundred years old, one of which has been incorporated into the hotel as the Tudor annexe.
