We'd like to share our journey as to what led to starting our business as funeral directors. When attending the funeral of a friend, the occasion felt so disconnected from the person we knew, it was a funeral remembered for all the wrong reasons. It followed protocol not individual personality.
We instinctively felt that such a poignant time in life - losing a loved family member or friend - should be led by a time of personal involvement and individuality.It was not a time to be rushed or necessarily led by convention and expectation. We also questioned the typical costs associated with a funeral - what was necessary and what could be a personal choice.

To plan a funeral is often overwhelming - we hand-hold you throughout. Our first guidance is to think about whether you would like the style to be more informal and low key, or more formal with a sense of ceremony. It's then considering whether it will be a particular faith led service, or non-religious led by a celebrant / humanist, or whether you would like to lead the service yourselves - family led.
No Fuss Pre-10am

Our No Fuss attended simple cremation funeral is what we have designed for families where Direct Cremation ( a funeral without a service) feels too remote but neither do you want a full funeral service. Typically attended by 1 - 15 people, it is a style of service that is private family time. Some families just like to quietly reflect, some like to listen to favourite music, or some families create their own simple service - we can advise.
Direct Cremation

We organise the collection and care of your relative and ensure a seamless process for the direct cremation. You will know the date and time (many direct cremation providers will not provide this). Families typically choose direct cremation when planning a memorial, celebration of life or scattering / interment of ashes at a different time - and they do not want the cremation to be the main focus of the funeral.
Alternative Cremation Venue

A cremation funeral does not have to take place at a crematorium. There are a couple of venues within 40 minutes of SW London where you can hold an unhurried cremation service surrounded by nature. GreenAcres Chiltern and Clandon Wood are both natural burial grounds where they allow their Woodland Hall / Pavilion to be used for cremation services.
