Compulsory Basic Training (C.B.T) is a course for new riders wanting to ride a moped or motorcycle. It is a legal requirement, and must by law be taken by any new rider before they can ride a motorcycle or scooter on the road with L plates. The course is aimed at complete novices with no experience at all.

Direct Access

The Team Valley Motorcycle Training courses teach you all the skills needed to pass the full test and enable you to ride a large motorcycle. It is an all inclusive course that provides you with everything you need. Courses begin with CBT, then build on your skills so that you can progress to learn the motorcycling procedures needed to pass your test.

Report

The five elements have to be completed in sequence, although the order of the exercises within the element can be varied. You will only move on to the next element when your instructor is satisfied you have learnt the necessary theory and demonstrated the practical skills to a safe basic level. Trainees must, by law, receive a minimum two hour on-road ride in Element E.
