Sciatica is a condition where the nerve exiting from the last vertebra in the spine (the sciatic nerve) is irritated or compressed. The main cause of sciatica is usually the L5/S1 disc that has slipped (prolapsed) and is pushing on the sciatic nerve. Symptoms can be made worse by bending, coughing, sneezing or sitting for long periods of time.

Hip & Knee Pain
Report
Osteoarthritis can cause a number of joints to become stiff and painful, some joints such as the hip and knee can be very affected by this. Osteoarthritis is the formation of bony-like spurs that grow into the joint space, this reduces movement and can cause quite a bit of pain. Chiropractors use techniques such as mobilisation, exercise and advice to help manage these conditions effectively.
