From a small company set up at the home farm in 1990 producing ready mix concrete, RTU is now a hugely successful company working out of a purpose-built manufacturing plant in Newtownabbey. As an innovator, RTU introduced Factory Produced (Tubbed) Mortar in 1992, Ultraflo hemihydrate floor screed in 2008, Exposa decorative concrete in 2013, Ultracem cement liquid screed and Zircon, a decorative concrete for polished floors in 2020.
Our advanced batching plant has the capacity to produce over 90m3 of concrete per hour and our quality control systems ensure a perfect product is delivered every time. RTU is also passionate about the environment and at our recycling plant we reduce, recycle and reuse materials whenever possible.

Our Exposa Decorative Concrete defines the viewpoints and walkways of two stunning Causeway Coast destinations: Dunluce Castle and Torr Head. RTU is delighted to have worked with Cleary Contracting in the construction of a new 3.7m EUROSPAR in Doagh, offering a fresh food range tailored to the specific needs of its local community.

Our white mortar is used on the impressive facade and RTU concrete and plaster contribute to the overall building's performance throughout this custom, state-of-the-art clinic.

With the project build in the region of 20,000,000, RTU supplied a range of materials including concrete, standard building mortar and Speed Screed. RTU supply a constant delivery of high quality concrete over many days with a pour of around 3500m3 of concrete for the warehouse floor alone. RTU supply 843m3 of concrete to Adston Construction for the subfloor of the new Lidl Store in Andersonstown, Belfast.

This in-house and full-time position is based at our Newtownabbey headquarters. The successful candidate will develop enquiries, generate leads, process sales paperwork and monitor the order process. Due to continued growth, we are recruiting for a Concrete & Mortar Batching Operator, based at our offices in Newtownabbey.
