At Rawmarsh Nursery School and Children's Centre, we are committed to ensure the highest possible standards of learning and teaching for our young children at all times. As an Outstanding Setting we provide purposeful and inspiring learning environments for all children to play, learn and explore.
We plan using the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) 'Development Matters' framework and equip all children with broad and balanced learning experiences across all seven areas of learning and development - both indoors and outdoors!

Hello, I'm Bob Bird, Chairperson of the Governing Body of Rawmarsh Children's Centre. It gives me great pleasure to take this opportunity to explain more about the Governing Body of our Centre. The main role of the Governing Body is to maintain and improve standards of the Children's Centre.
The Governing Body is made up of representatives of Staff, Parents and the Community as well as having some member appointed by the Local Education Authority (LEA).They are all volunteers who give up their free time to ensure that the Centre is managed effectively and to the benefit of children. The Governors collectively have various legal responsibilities and duties as set out by Central Government and the Local Education Authority.

Partnerships
Report
It is very important that the Children's Centre works in positive partnership with parents and carers, as the most significant people in their child's life. You are your child's first and most enduring educators.
We therefore need your help to build on the foundations you have laid at home in order to help your child achieve success in their education and reach their full potential as modern, productive and caring citizens in our local and wider community.

Safeguarding
Report
We have a responsibility to report any concerns we may have regarding the welfare of children in our care to the local Social Services Department and to share information with partner agencies. We have a rigorous and robust recruitment process that gathers evidence about staff suitability to work with children.
