About Us
Report
We are proud of our history. Our veterinary practice was the original practice in the town of Burnley. It was established very much in the mould of James Herriot, dealing with all creatures great and small. Originally the practice mainly dealt with farm animals but also on a smaller scale, provided care for companion pets.

Endoscopy - Is a way of viewing the inside of the body using an endoscope. This instrument uses fibre-optic technology and allows the vet to look inside the gastrointestinal tract or respiratory tract. It is less invasive than other surgical procedures. This technique is used to explain frequent or persistent vomiting or internal bleeding and as well as being used for diagnosis it can also be used for treatment such as removing foreign bodies.
Pet Nutrition
Report
We believe that nutrition is an important part of keeping pets healthy and can also play a vital part in the treatment of some illnesses. This is why we stock a select range of cat and dog pet food in practice, helping to take the faff out of pet food for our clients by recommending diets that have been scientifically created to provide optimal nutrition, which tastes great!
Exotics
Report
Dedicated professionals, providing comprehensive advice, treatment, and expertise, tailored to meet your exotic pets' needs. Accepting both first opinion consultations and referrals from other veterinary practices. The department is led by Veterinary Surgeon and Clinical Director, Sheryl Calway, who holds her GP Certificate in Exotic Animal Medicine and Surgery (GpCert ExAP) and who is also a registered poultry vet.
Pet Advice
Report
Did you know that in recent surveys 85% of dogs and 70% of cats over three years of age have some form of dental disease? A healthy mouth typically has shiny white teeth surrounded by firm pink (or pigmented ) gums. Plaque is an invisible film composed of bacteria and other substances which forms naturally and continuously on the surface of the teeth and gums.
