BLS Asbestos is a family owned and run business that has been in operation for over 20 years, after being set-up in 1999. The construction industry, including asbestos removal for demolition and remediation work. A licence to transport hazardous waste, awarded by the Environment Agency, which allows us to safely transport and dispose of the asbestos once removed.

At BLS Asbestos we are incredibly proud of the awards and accreditations we have built-up over the 20 years we have been in operation. We hold a full three year licence awarded to us by the Health and Safety Executive to work with asbestos insulation and asbestos insulation board for the purpose of removal.
Asbestos Surveys

BLS Asbestos have extensive experience in carrying out asbestos surveys in a wide range of environments and can help your organisation to fulfil its legal obligations in relation to asbestos management or preparing for demolition projects. An asbestos survey is required prior to all major refurbishment or demolition work, with the aim to locate all asbestos containing materials within the property.
Asbestos Training

According to the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, 'training is mandatory for anyone liable to be exposed to asbestos fibres at work. This includes maintenance workers and others who may come into contact with or disturb asbestos e.g. To achieve this, BLS Asbestos has a permanent training facility at its headquarters in Yorkshire.
Legionella Surveys
Report
There are at least 34 species of legionella which cause Legionnaires' disease. Legionella is widespread in natural water sources but can also live in man-made water systems such as those found in large premises, including factories or hospitals. The bacteria causes a pneumonia-like illness, which can be particularly dangerous in young children, elderly or unwell people.
