Hi there, lovely to meet you. I'm Henrietta Garden and I'm a professional photographer based in Crouch End, North London. You may be sitting in front of my camera sometime soon, so it's probably comforting to know a little about me. Before I was hiding behind the camera, I spent the first twenty odd years of my life on the other side of the lens as an actress.

Yes, as an ex-actress I can completely empathise with this and felt exactly the same way each time I got that call. I always hated every minute of my shoots - being told to 'open your eyes more' or to 'relax'. I never failed to find the shoots horribly demanding and hugely intimidating, usually sending me into week-long depressions when I saw the end results.

Before you know it, those cute little smiles morph into snarling grimaces and your window to get those pictures is firmly shut! There's nothing more special than a gorgeous picture of your child during those innocent years to gaze at even when they're well into their teenage lives. Family photography sessions are of a particular favourite of mine.

Whether it's a conference, a drinks party or any other type of business event, it's important to have a professional event photographer there to capture it all for you so you can get on with making the event wonderful, safe in the knowledge that it will all be captured for you.
