At PHL UK Ltd, we are fortunate enough to have forklift pedigree from our managing directors' lineage. Richard Hawkins is from a family of an old English forklift manufacturer called Hamech, and the brand was subsequently sold to Crown lift trucks in the 1990s.

With Richard at the helm, PHL was created in the early 90s to buy and sell used material-handling machinery and was one of the first companies in the UK to establish a wholesale forklift truck business.Dilyan Alexiev's roots are in Eastern Europe. His family was involved in the Blkancar factories in the old communist Bulgaria - the only forklift manufacturer in Eastern Europe at the time.
