Services
Chimney Sweep
Regular chimney sweeping removes soot, creosote, and debris buildup from fuel combustion, preventing fire hazards and carbon monoxide leaks. Our certified sweeps use professional equipment to ensure thorough cleaning, compliance with insurance requirements, and optimal chimney performance. We recommend annual or seasonal maintenance based on fuel type, with smoke draw tests included to verify airflow efficiency.
Bird Nest Removal
Professional removal of bird nests from chimneys and flues prevents blockages, fire risks, and structural damage. Our team safely clears nests using specialist tools, inspects for chimney damage, and provides preventive solutions to avoid future nesting, ensuring safe and unobstructed ventilation for heating systems.
Cowl Fittings
Installation of solid fuel, gas, and oil-specific cowls enhances chimney safety by preventing water ingress, debris accumulation, and bird entry. We fit cowls to improve flue efficiency, protect heating appliances, and extend chimney lifespan while maintaining compliance with safety standards.
Disused Chimney Caps
Sealing disused chimneys prevents weather ingress, dampness, and heat loss through unoccupied flues. Our solutions include installing caps and weatherproof seals to block moisture, wildlife entry, and energy waste while maintaining structural integrity and indoor comfort.
Wedding Sweeps
Chimney sweeps participate in weddings as symbols of good fortune, rooted in historical traditions. We offer this ceremonial service to provide luck and blessings for newlyweds, following royal customs and cultural heritage while maintaining professional safety standards.

Professional, prompt and knowledgable. Chimney swept, advice given and it’s now roaring away. Highly recommended by myself and the other neighbours that also had their chimneys swept this morning. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ rating from me.

Great friendly and professional service! A chimney sweep who wasn’t late, so nice. Work was very efficiently executed and ever so clean and tidy on the near white tiled floor - even his ash vac had a mild fresh scent. Will be using again next year without doubt. 10/10 or A+ take your pick.

Really didnt know what to expect when I contacted Dave at Essweeps. First experience of bird in
my chimney! Dave arrived promptly released the bird and even gave him a bath before he flew away. He then came back to sweep the chimney and fit cowl. Very impressed. Nice clean worker no mess at all. Would definitely recommend. Great job!
