The Atkinson family can trace its roots back to Cumbria when in 1860, James Atkinson left the family watermill at Little Salkeld, near Penrith, to establish a roofing business in Darlington. The business developed into a slate merchant and then into a builders merchant in the early 1900's.

Unbeknownst to me DX express had only delivered 1 part of my delivery which luckily turned out to be just enough. JT Atkinson notified me of the delivery mistake and have offered me a replacement or a refund. Very helpful and honest company with integrity. Shame on the delivery driver of DX taking a picture of the corner of the parcel and not taking my delivery to my front door but leaving it in the communal area. 5 stars to JT Atkinson.

Poor poor poor experience with JT Atkinson Stockton. Ordered wood 10 days ago, was told I’d get a call when it was ready to collect in 2 days time. No call, so I called. Couldn’t find my order which I had already paid for and to call back the next day, again same happened and told to call back when the gent I ordered with was back in. Did that and they hadn’t even processed my order. Eventually found it after numerous phone calls and I requested delivery. Called this morning and spoke to Megan (not sure what her role is but I’ve spoken to her a few times and she is never
