Trackline Training, which has been established since 1997, is proud to be an NSAR Silver rated provider of railway safety critical training. Personal Track Safety (PTS) is a system of safer working practices employed within the United Kingdom designed to ensure the safety of railway workers who have to work on the lineside.

This course is designed to train persons who are responsible for undertaking Controller of Site Safety training as part of their duties on Network Rail Infrastructure. This course provides the first assessment in the 2 year competence assessment cycle for an IWA. It is suitable for people that already hold a valid IWA competency certificate.

Individual Working Alone IWA

This course is designed to train persons who have been nominated by their line manager/sponsor to enable them to attain the Individual Working Alone (IWA) competence. The IWA competence is required to be held by anyone who is required to work on or near the line on their own.

The IWA course will tae delegates through the procedures as set out in the Rule Book; Handbook 6 (General Duties of an IWA), Handbook 8 (IWA, COSS or PC blocking a line) and Handbook 9 (IWA or COSS setting up safe systems of work within possessions).
Lookout
Report
The lookout/Site warden course is designed to set up additional people in the coss's safety system of work to undertake specific duties under the instruction of the Coss. This course is essential for personnel who are to conduct Lookout and Site warden duties so they know what there what their responsibility are to the group and the Coss themselves.
Safe Work Leader 1
Report
This course is designed to convert persons with the current COSS competence to SWL1. They will also pass the pre-qualifier assessment and have been nominated by their line manager/sponsor to enable them to attain the SWL conversion and subsequent competence. The SWL competence is required to be held by anyone who is required to plan and set up a safe system of work on or near the line for a group (two or more).
