I spent 17 years working for Scottish PR agencies, the last five of which as head of the world's biggest PR company Weber Shandwick's Glasgow office. Before that I was a journalist. Values have always been important to me. I know a lot of people. High achievers. Good people. Marketing directors, heads of communications, MDs of small businesses, chief executives of global brands.

I've won 11 worldwide, European, UK, and Scottish PR awards working from Scotland's biggest city, Glasgow (with a little help from the excellent and talented teams I've led at Weber Shandwick Glasgow over the years, of course). Each PR award helped a client achieve an objective, and I'm proud of this.

When it comes to PR and digital marketing I can do a lot. But sometimes I'll need to bring in a specialist. For example, when I'm producing client websites I bring in a graphic designer and developer. It takes years to become a brilliant designer and coding is best left to the experts. I have a network of contacts in Scotland and across the UK delivering complementary services to Zude PR.

PR blogs and running blogs are ubiquitous in 2020 but where else in the world (but Glasgow) do you find one man writing passionately about both.
